Madison's first week at daycare!!
As most of you know, Madison had been staying with a friend at her house up until last week. Julie (her sitter) wants to rejoin the workforce so that means Madison had to join a daycare. I can't thank Julie enough for giving our little one 8 months at home. A big gigantic thanks to Julie. One her first day at daycare I received a note home saying that "Madison likes to entertain with her food...spraying her food on everyone." It proceeded to say "sorry about the shirt, she had a bib on!" When I got home there was vegetable beef dinner all over a pretty pink outfit. Luckily I was smart enough not to send her in a very expensive outfit. I thought something like this may happen. On her first day she also learned to hold her bottle on her own which is really cute to watch. She had a really good week but was a bit tired because they only take one 2 1/2 hr nap and my little sleeper is used to 11-12 hrs at night and then two 2-3 hour naps during the day. Other than that she did really well.

Our recent trip to Alabama
First of all I am not good at keeping this blog up to date so I have to back track to tell you about everything. Over Labor Day weekend we went home to Alabama. Scott's grandfather passed away so we went home for several days. It was expected, but he will surely be missed. While we were there we did get in some good family visits which was great. It helped to get our mind off of all of the funeral stuff. We had a good weekend considering why we were making the visit. Here are a few pictures of Madison's adventure on the farm and with her Paw Paw on his Kabota.

Our camping trip
A couple of weekends ago we went camping at Jellystone campground in Cherokee, NC. We met my cousin/sister Christy and her family there. We were not brave enough to go tent camping with a 4, 2, and 8month old so we rented a cute cabin. We had a really good trip. Jellystone is the home of Yogi Bear for those of you who did not know that and when we went it was Yogi's birthday. We went on a wagon ride w/ Yogi and went to his birthday party. Gracie (the 4yr old almost 5 at the time) LOVED the characters. She couldn't get enough. You can't even imagine how excited she was to be around them. We went into town one afternoon and went mining for gems and had the girls pendants made from stones we had found. On the way out of town we stopped by a place to hike up to a waterfall called Mingo Falls and it was worth the hike. Enjoy the pictures from our weekend.

Things are getting tough
Things are getting a little harder at the Buckelew household. Madison has outgrown her baby carrier car seat. That is the best thing EVER!!!! Now things are a bit harder. Madison can sit on her own but still gets tires after a while. She now has a new car seat and has to sit in the buggy and high chair when we go out. She has been really great at transitioning but it makes it harder on me. You have to bring a lot more things out with you. Hopefully this phase won't last long. Here are a few pictures of our new adventures!!
Introducing a new musician
Scott has been playing around with his guitar that he has had put up for a long time. The guitar case is lined with a fur like material to protect the guitar and I thought Madison would love to feel of it so I sat her inside the case. As I predicted she did like to feel the soft inside. Scott then thought it would be cute to let her hold the guitar and as you can see she is cute with it. Is she going to be the next BIG country artist? Guess we have a few years til we know.
